Their Rich History & How It All Began

Herbal Glo was founded by pharmacist Lou Segal. It all started on his trip to Cape Town, South Africa in 1983 when he discovered a tribal ritual that made tribe people’s hair grow thicker, fuller, and stronger.

Lou realized this could help others with their hair concerns. His scientific background gave him access to the latest data, but the naturalist in him drew him to the plant-based solution he discovered.

Lou made it his mission to create the best quality remedy for hair issues. After devising a concoction based on science and nature, Lou sold his first herbal hair remedy in 1985 to Cape Town customers. Receiving nothing but positive feedback, he created the full Herbal Glo line that we know and love today.

Lou moved to Vancouver, where his son, Darryl, joined him. Today, there are over 60 years of history in every bottle. It’s now led by Darryl, who continues to honour his father's formulas while enhancing them as new data, technology, and natural powerhouses emerge.

Quality Control For Quality Products

Herbal Glo reviews each ingredient for safety and efficacy before adding it to its formulations and every concoction has been researched and formulated by pharmacist, D.R. Segal. The unique herbal blend used in Herbal Glo products consists of South African Rooibos and other exotic plants, roots, and leaves.

Herbal Glo is transparent about its product labelling and includes an ingredient glossary on its site. Each product is 100% natural, healthy and comprised of the best organic plant-based ingredients. Herbal Glo guarantees none of its products uses animal byproducts and they are completely cruelty-free and environmentally-friendly.
